"Blame It" by Jamie Foxx featuring T-Pain
This song is set to be my summer anthem. Jamie Foxx and T-Pain can do no wrong; they really come through on this one. It's the perfect party song and reminds you that when all else fails, "blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol."
"Only You" by Josh Kelley
This song has been a favorite of mine for a while, and recently, it crept back onto my most played list. While the seductive lyrics would probably warrant a punch if any guy actually spoke them, Kelley's voice makes them super sexy. The video, featuring him and wife Katherine Heigl, only adds to the heat.
"Allow Me To Introduce Myself ... Mr. Right" by The White Tie Affair
I have a newfound appreciation for The White Tie Affair after seeing them live recently. The dance-pop group will have you bobbing your head with this track. The song features the oh-so-sexy vocals of Chris Wallace, crooning about the excitement that comes with paying attention to "Mr. Right Now."
"Still Fly" by The Devil Wears Prada
Honestly, if you choose to listen to any track on my playlist, please make it this one. This is one of the best covers I've ever heard. While still managing to keep some of the elements of the original, The Devil Wears Prada takes the Big Tymers' rap hit, adds some screaming and straight bad-ass instrumentals and came out with pure perfection.
"The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle" by A Day to Remember
You know you're in for something special from the beginning of this song, which features an amazing guitar riff. The song then lunges into bitter lines, such as "I'll never be a liar, but you'll always be two-faced." If you like your music hard, you'll love this track, which features incredible instrumentals spun with a small amount of screaming that still proves to be effective.
"Don't Trust Me" by 3OH!3
I first heard 3OH!3 last summer at Warped Tour, which is where I first heard "Don't Trust Me." I've been hooked ever since. The white-boy rap/rock duo continues to blow my mind with its awesomely offensive lyrics and infectious sound, which simply cannot be described - only experienced.
"Rehab" by Rihanna featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland
While I enjoy most of Rihanna's songs, this one holds a special place in my heart - as this was practically my anthem during my last break-up. The lyrics drive home that you can have feelings for someone who really isn't good for you. I think Rihanna (and Justin Timberlake) sound great on the track, and I think it was deserving of more radio play than it received.
"Turnin' Me On" by Keri Hilson featuring Lil Wayne
You can put Lil Wayne on anybody's track, and it's bound to reach full-blown hit status. Enter the next-to-unknown Keri Hilson and the song that broke into the top-20 of Billboard's Hot 100 digital songs. While Hilson's vocals do sound really smooth, it's not until Lil Wayne drops his verse that the song really fulfills its potential.
