Only one spot is left for President Lester Lefton's first lunch Tuesday.

Darlene Adelman, receptionist in the President's Office, said there are six spots available for lunch Thurs., April 16 and seven spots available for lunch Wed., May 6.

Lefton will host lunch in his office once a month with about seven students for the remainder of the semester. The president's invitation is open to all students on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Lefton said he wanted to have a real discussion with students, and he thought lunch would help make the discussion more informal.

He said he wanted to have something "where I can spend an hour with a small number of students and have them talk to me about their dreams and aspirations and how Kent State fits into that."

Adelman recommended students e-mail her at dadelma1@kent.edu as soon as possible to reserve their seat .

Lefton said he has had similar lunches with students programs when he worked at both Tulane University and George Washington University.
