The Summit County Medical Examiner's office ruled Gertrude Steuernagel's death a homicide yesterday. They said her cause of death were blunt impacts to the head and torso.

Investigating Supervisor Gary Guenther said Steuernagel's death certificate has been issued, but complete autopsy results will not be available to the public until after her son's trial.

Sky Walker will be arraigned in the Portage County Common Pleas Court at 9 a.m. March 20 on two counts of murder. Portage County Probate Court ruled Walker incompetent and appointed him a guardian Feb. 26.

Steuernagel was found in her home Jan. 29 after she was assaulted. She was taken to Akron City Hospital where she died Feb. 6. Walker has been held on $2 million bond since the attack.
