Where to go for Mardi Gras

The Water Street Tavern
The Water Street Tavern will celebrate Mardi Gras starting at 4 p.m. today. Mike Beder, owner of the Water Street Tavern, said Mardis Gras is beginning to become a huge event in Kent.
"Fat Tuesday is one of our biggest nights of the year. It's slowly creeping up on Homecoming, Halloween and St. Patrick's Day as one of our biggest nights," Beder said. "It's always a great party and we have a lot planned this year. DJ Lano will be spinning live and taking requests, and we've bought tons of beads for the party. It's going to be a lot of fun."
The Robin Hood
The Robin Hood will kick off Fat Tuesday at 11 p.m. today. DJ D. Bug will be spinning a live dance party that continues all night. Ages 18 and over are welcome. A handful of beads will be given to everyone upon entry.
Darren "D. Bug" Berg, senior cellular molecular biology major and founder of Knockturnal Productions, said he wants to make sure that other college students get to experience Fat Tuesday the same way he has in the past.
"Coming to school, I didn't even know that Fat Tuesday was a college holiday," Berg said. "As a freshman, I learned how many people actually go out and celebrate. This year, Scott, the owner of the Robin Hood, and my company, Knockturnal Productions, just want to help all the kids - underage and over - go out and have fun. With the contests and having a live DJ, it will definitely be a Fat Tuesday to remember."

I didn't know those were the only two bars in Kent!!
How about the Kent Stage where all the proceeds are being donated to a guy with cancer?

I love how D-bug references his "company." I heard you sold products in the past but what does this Knockoff company do? You're a trip Bug.
