Stoplight Party
The Water Street Tavern will host a "Stoplight Party" at 10 p.m. Saturday. Let your outfit represent your relationship status: Wear green if you're single, yellow if you're "kind of seeing someone, kind of not" and red if you're in a relationship. Also, the bar will be giving away a pair of tickets to the Brian Regan comedy show in Lakewood next month, but with a Valentine's Day twist. One ticket will be given to a single girl, and the other will be given to a single guy; the winners have to attend the show together.

Surrounded by Idiots concert
Local band Surrounded by Idiots will be playing a show at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Outpost Concert Club. The music will consist of a mixture of classic rock cover songs and blues. Bring your valentine out to enjoy the show.
Single? "You can find your sweetheart at a drunken rock show," said lead singer Brett Magilavy. The cover charge is $5 for those 18 and over, and $7 for those under 18.
XFS fight
If you're looking for some action to spice up your night, head out to Emidio & Sons Expo Center in Cuyahoga Falls for an Xtreme Fight Series event. Thirty-two fighters from five different weight classes will compete in 16 full-contact, mixed martial arts-style fights. The doors open at 5 p.m., and tickets are $20 for general admission and $40 for VIP seating.
Colin Gregg, senior managerial marketing major, will compete in the fight for his first time. He describes the fighting experience as an extreme self-test.
"It's two people that go into a cage, and they lock the door behind you," Gregg said. "One person leaves that cage victorious. It's the ultimate test of your will - and courage."
He said the event will be an action-packed night that puts a different spin on Valentine's Day.
"It's not the same thing you do every year: chocolates and dinner and a movie. You get to come out and change it up," he said.
