The Alumni Association is hosting an event, Careers Over Coffee, this evening for students nearing graduation.

Alumni will be speaking with students about their future career paths, how to find jobs and where to find jobs. They will also be available to answer questions pertaining to their specific field.

Careers Over Coffee will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Room 317 of the Student Center.

"Careers over Coffee connects students with alumni," said Melissa Liptak, assistant director for student and recent graduate programs.

The following fields will have alumni representatives present: law, writing, journalism and editing, teaching and K-12 administration and computer science.

Careers Over Coffee allows students to utilize alumni as a resource to learn more about their career paths, Liptak said.

The Alumni Association requests that students register at www.ksualumni.org.

Coffee and desserts will be provided afterward. Students will also have the chance to network with the alumni.

Careers Over Coffee is held once each semester. Different career fields are represented each time.
