Steuernagel's son charged with attempted murder

Sky Walker was indicted today on a charge of attempting to kill his mother, professor of political science, Gertrude Steuernagel, and assault on an officer.
However, the Portage County Probate Court has called for a motion of incompetency because, upon expert evaluation, Walker is said to have severe autism.
The competency hearing has not yet been set.
Attempted murder is a first degree felony, and assaulting an officer, a fourth degree felony.
Steuernagel has been at Akron City Hospital since Jan. 29 and is in critical condition.
