'He's Just Not That Into You' delivers with cast of big names
Film stays true to book's roots

Here it is: The movie that says everything every woman needs to hear but never actually wants to believe. "He's Just Not That Into You" is based off Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo's best-selling book with the same title.
Like the book, the movie looks at many different relationship situations and then goes on to tell how that relationship is broken and how the man isn't into the woman.
The movie is full of stars, all of whom delivered great performances. The cast list includes: Kevin Connolly, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, Bradley Cooper, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Connelly.
Long's character, Alex, plays the Greg Behrendt-esque character who delivers the harsh realities to Ginnifer Goodwin's relationship-illiterate character, Gigi.
The characters never came right out and said, "He's just not that into you," but they did use variations of the phrase. They left the rest pretty much implied. There were short interjections, just writing on the screen, which said something like "…if he's not calling you."
Although the movie doles out some harsh realities, it stays light by being hilarious.
Some of the funniest parts of the movie are the interview segments used to separate the different "why he's not into you" situations. These had nothing to do with the plot but everything to do with the message of the movie.
I think the book transitioned really well to the big screen. The same topics were kept and even some of the same quotes.
The only content issue I had with the movie was one of the segments that stated, "…if she's not having sex with you." The book is pretty firm on the fact that it doesn't apply to the male species. The fact that they brought in a male's problem was a little inaccurate to me.
Overall, though, "He's Just Not That Into You" is definitely a fantastic romantic comedy for both women and men alike - unless, of course, you are that guy.
