Interim dean of CCI named

Kent State announced today that Jeff Fruit, director of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, will become interim dean of the College of Communication and Information on Jan. 1, 2009.
The announcement comes after James Gaudino, dean of the college, announced he would leave Kent State to become President of Central Washington University.
Fruit is in his seventh year as director of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and he has spent more than 15 years working for a variety of publications.
