Crain Street Bridge closed indefinitely

The city of Kent announced that the Crain Avenue Bridge will remain closed until further notice following the train accident underneath the bridge Thursday afternoon.

City of Kent Service director Eugene Roberts said motorists should expect delays and are asked to seek alternative routes.



-Westbound on E. Main : Detour using E. Main Street to Gougler Avenue.

-Westbound from Lake Street: Detour using Harvey Street to Wilson Avenue to E. Main Street to Gougler.

-Eastbound to Crain Avenue: Detour using S. Mantua Street to Haymaker Parkway to Depeyster Street then North to Crain

-Eastbound to Lake: Detour using S. Mantua Street to Haymaker Parkway to Wilson Avenue to Harvey Street back to Lake Street.
