Lupe Fiasco plays it 'cool'

Hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco played a packed M.A.C. Center last night. James Mellyn, junior integrated health studies major, was blown away by the performance. "Whatever Kent State paid him wasn't enough. The combination of his high energy and personal interaction with the crowd made for the best show I can remember seeing." Lupe Fiasco not only entertained with his chart-topping hits, but also freestyled over beats from his backing band.

Double checking your facts is always a good idea. Speaking purely objectively, while one may admit a stunning performance (whether a fan of Lupe Fiasco or not), the MAC center was FAR from being "packed" as so stated by Mr. (Continued…)

People always want to complain about money lost on concerts at KSU because the MAC wasn't completely sold out. I guarantee that will never end.

Everyone will ALWAYS have their opinion about how the money at Kent is spent. If you don't like Lupe Fiasco, you would be mad. Some student love him and couldn't think of a better way for the money to be spent. (Continued…)

There have been plenty of acts that I would have never attended here at Kent. However, this is one of the first artists in a LONG time that is relevant and has a couple of hits that have ran on MTV, BET and Vh1. (Continued…)
