Kent Interhall Council elected freshman communications major Lauren Bonando as its new representative at large at its weekly meeting last night.
The representative at large serves as a communicator between residence hall councils and KIC officers and is expected to attend weekly hall council meetings to serve as a delegate for KIC.
Bonando credited her extensive involvement in high school government as the reason she is qualified for the position.
"I have a lot of experience to bring to KIC," she said. "I am excited to have been elected, and I can't wait to start working with everyone."
Bonando was elected over one other candidate, Somadina Nwaokafor, sophomore construction management major.
KIC will hold another election for a second representative at large at its meeting next Tuesday.
