Honors College alumna Carly Sachs is holding a poetry reading 7:30 p.m. today in Johnson Hall Room 60.
The reading will be from "The Why and Later: An Anthology of Poems about Rape and Sexual Assault."
Victoria Bocchicchio, coordinator of curriculum and senior thesis for the Honors College, said Sachs contacted her about doing a poetry fundraising event for victims of sexual assault.
"She's been doing this work for a long, long while," said Bocchicchio, adding that the Honors staff is pleased to be supporting a worthwhile cause.
The event is free and open to anyone, but donations will be accepted.
