Applications for both the USG programming and allocation committees have been extended until 5 p.m. tomorrow.

There are four positions available for the programming committee. Members will be paid $837 per semester.

"(The programming committee) will be receiving the block funding that ACPB formerly received and will be putting on the major events of the campus," said Katie Hale, current USS executive director.

There will be either nine or 11 positions available for the programming committee. Hale said the exact number will be determined at the ad hoc session later this semester. Members will be paid $250 in the form of a book scholarship.

Positions for both committees are open to any undergraduate student with a 2.25 GPA.

"It's a great experience, and students should really want to take part in it," Hale said. "I feel students are sometimes hesitant to get involved because of all the other time commitments they have. I would like to stress to students that this isn't an overtime commitment."

The last official USS meeting, before becoming USG, is at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
