PRIDE!Kent will elect officers for next year at tonight's meeting. Six positions will be open to all members who meet the university's requirement of a 2.25 GPA.

President Leora Rzepka said that while none of the current board members are graduating, not all will be running for office again, so all qualified members are encouraged to run.

The positions include president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, programming director and straight allies chair.

Candidates should prepare a one- or two-minute speech, Rzepka said. The winning candidates will be announced at the end of the meeting and begin their terms as board members at the beginning of the Fall 2008 semester.

Tonight's meeting will also introduce plans for the Day of Silence. Members will be able to sign up for organizing committees.
