Third Eye Blind plays tonight

Alternative pop-rock band Third Eye Blind will perform for Kent State students at the M.A.C. Center at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for non-students.
The event is co-sponsored by the All-Campus Programming Board and Undergraduate Student Senate to get students involved and interested in the new Undergraduate Student Government, Executive Director Katie Hale said.
"We wanted to do something that would speak to and entertain students, but also inform," she said.
Third Eye Blind has not produced an album or a single since 2003, nor has it had a Top 40 single since its 2003 hit, "Blinded (When I See You)," according to Billboard.
After the release of its last album, Out of the Vein, the band seemed to disappear into the abyss of late '90s pop-rock.
However, Third Eye Blind is making a comeback, touring colleges and producing a new album, The Hideous Strength, which is said to come out sometime this year.
All politics aside, Mike Hammond, USS senator for research and development, said it will be a great show and encourages students to "come out, support, and have a good time."
