Breakfast to honor smoke-free environments

The Portage County Tobacco Prevention Coalition will honor Kent City Schools and Riverside Wine and Imports for their commitment to a smoke-free environment tomorrow at its Celebration Breakfast in the Student Center.

Kent City Schools is being honored for its prevention mentoring program with varsity athletes and middle school students. Riverside Wine and Imports has managed to be profitable while remaining smoke-free.

State Reps. Kathleen Chandler of Kent and Stephen Dyer of Green and Ohio Sen. Tom Sawyer, who have supported tobacco legislation, will speak about success in fighting tobacco use.

The breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. tomorrow in Room 306.
