Gov. Ted Strickland will visit Kent State Thursday to speak about the new University System of Ohio and other higher education issues.

Patricia Myers, director of government relations at Kent State, said the governor's hour-long visit will include a tour of the science departments in Williams Hall and a press conference in Risman Plaza.

The press conference will begin at 2:10 p.m., and is open to all students and faculty. If it rains, the press conference will be held in the Student Center.
