Nicholas Zajac was sentenced to six months in prison Monday in Portage County Common Pleas court.
The sentence comes seven months after the Halloween accident that left Dana Lim, a 26-year-old Parma resident, in a coma for three weeks after he was pushed into Lincoln Avenue and run over by a tow truck.
Judge John Enlow said that, as part of Zajac's sentence, he will have to pay Lim's medical bills, which the Akron Beacon Journal estimated at $40,000. Lim suffered multiple broken bones and internal injuries as a result of the accident.
Zajac pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in March.

Mr. Zajac got off very lucky in my opinion...
I think he should have been charged with attempted murder!! Anyone pushing some one in front of a moving Tow Truck, is plainly trying to "kill" some one! (You just don't "do that" for kicks, your deliberately trying to get some one run over, and what the man had against this person whom he shoved, I guess we will never know). (Continued…)

I completely agree with Mr. Merino. Zajac obviously attempted to take another man's life, and alcohol is no excuse.
Thank you, Mr. Merino for bringing some reason to these posts; and thank you for your constantly entertaining and well-informed commentary. (Continued…)

To let you all know...
That was "not" my Son who posted that second post!
My Son is at home, and doesn't "read" the Kent Stater, and wouldn't even "think" of insulting me as this young man did. (Continued…)

Let me help justify a few things on Zajacs' behalf. That asshole that got run over by the tow truck picked a fight and punched Nick first. Nick punched him back, the guy fell off the curb and into the street, and the rest is history. (Continued…)
