CHEERS

... to the country Eritrea, which recently banned female genital mutilation, a life-threatening practice that is estimated to have been inflicted upon 90 percent of Eritrean women.

... to the NAACP for speaking out against radio host Don Imus' racist remarks and demanding his firing.

... to the recently inducted members of the Undergraduate Student Senate.

JEERS

... to Craigslist for not having a better filtering system of their ads, resulting in one Washington woman's house being ransacked.

... to the national media, which is still spending hours on worthless coverage while more important stories are going unnoticed, such as the United States' plan to create a missile defense system in Europe.

... to all of us who thrive on such worthless coverage.
