In addition to hearing the music and the dialogue, sight impaired students can enjoy the musical "Hair" by listening to someone vocally describe what's happening on stage.

"It is a live description for the sight impaired. Special headphones are brought by the Cleveland Sight Center and as the performance proceeds, the describer (a representative from Cleveland Sight Center) explains what actions are going on, on the stage," said Effie Tsengas, director of public relations and marketing for the School of Theatre and Dance.

Tsengas said the person in the headphones might say, "There are 20 people dressed in bright clothing on stage dancing crazily."

"It's really going to be a great performance for people to realize what happened during that time period," Tsengas said. "And maybe even how similar that time period is to current day."

The audio-described performance will be at 2 p.m. on Feb. 25 at the E. Turner Stump Theatre in the Music and Speech Center.

To reserve a ticket and the audio-described service, call the box office at (330) 672-2497.
